Dear Restaurant Proprietors, Food Producers, Retailers, and Wineries,

You are invited to be a part of South Dakota’s only state-wide dining guide dedicated to promoting independent establishments. Sorry, this publication is not for national chains.

Dakota Thyme is publishing the 2010-2011 South Dakota Dining, Food, and Wine Guide to encourage tourists and residents to support South Dakota owned and operated businesses for a Taste of South Dakota.

Who should be listed in the Guide?

South Dakota owned and operated food and wines businesses – sorry no national chains.

Restaurants
Drive-Ins
Retailers with South Dakota Made Products
Wineries

What is the cost for my business to be included in the Guide?

Only $195 per year ($95 for seasonal businesses)

What is the format of the Guide?

The Guide will be printed on 9” x 20” 100 pound gloss paper and folded to a size of 4” x 9” to fit in a standard rack card slot. See the low resolution sample images below.

How will the Guide be distributed?

The South Dakota 2010-2011 South Dakota Dining, Food, and Wine Guide will be placed by Certified Folder Display Service in approximately 350 rack card displays throughout South Dakota. See the South Dakota section in the attached pdf for specific locations. (click here and see pages 7-10)

On or before June 1, the Guide will also be posted to Dakota Thyme website which will include links to business websites. Visitation to the Dakota Thyme website has grown from just 500 visits in January to nearly 7,000 in the month of April.

What other benefits will my business receive?

Your business will receive a one page profile on the Dakota Thyme website at no additional cost with the option to allow customers to post comments to your profile page. The profile includes the opportunity to upload your logo, post a photo, and make unlimited updates throughout the year.

Your business can post unlimited South Dakota food and wine events on the Dakota Thyme website from June 2010 through May 2011 at no additional cost.

You also have the opportunity to complete an interview with Dakota Thyme and be the feature of a blog post during 2010-2011.
